Post subject: FAFSA Question
Archived from groups: soc>college>financial-aid (more info?)

My daughter is a junior in high school and, like many parents, we'll
be seeking financial aid by filling out the FAFSA (and CSS/Profile if
necessary). I filled out an EFC calculator last night on
www.finaid.org . Two of the parameters were the number of people in
the family and the number attending college. Does a parent attending
a university degree program count? There was a major different in the
EFC result when I factored myself in. Thanks in advance for any info
you can provide.

A student's FAFSA asks how many people will be college students,
*excluding your parents*. The parent cannot be a second student for this
question.
