Hey Everyone,

I am probably still 4-5 years away from applying for an MBA program but
I believe that proper career choices will help me get their eventually
and so here is my Q.

I am an electrical engineer with about 2 years experience and working
for a mid-size company. The job profile is average and the management
structure is pretty flat which means that to become a project manager
or an engineering manager I would probably have to spend about 8-10
years more in this company.

Recently I was approached by a really small LLC company operating in a
very niche market where the job profile looks very good (what I mean is
that I will learn a lot because there will be a lot of responsibilities
and I will have to wear multiple hats).

My Q is how does this affect my profile as an MBA candidate for
admission in a good school?

Does the name of the company matter?

I have a masters in elec engg and have a GPA of 3.2. My academic
profile is pretty decent overall but I want to make up for it by
getting good job experience and GMAT score. How will an experience in a
small company be seen by admission commitee.

Thanks all for reading and commenting on my post
