Post subject: My GRE ( computer science) score is 730. Is it good enough to have a say in admission process.
Archived from groups: soc>college>gradinfo, others (more info?)

Hi,

My GRE Computer Science score was 730. I took the exam 2 years back.I
think this score is too bad to get me into MS (or PhD) programs in any
top US universities and I am wondering whether this score will be good
enough in any middle ranked Universities. Please let me know if there
are any such Universities.

I do have a baccalaureate degree in Computer Science with a very nice
acads. I am basically loking for doing MS(Computer Science)in US
universities.

Thanks in Advance,
Raghav

What's the percentile? The percentile/score varies year to year.

If that corresponds to say, the 75th percentile, it'll be too low for the
top 10, but it depends on your GPA, quality of your recommendations, quality
of the university you attended in India (if anyone on the admissions board
for that department has heard of it at all).

There are plenty of middle-rank universities. A 730 on the subject test may
be adequate, if everything else looks very good.
