Merry Christmas-Less And Have A Happy Godless Year
Richard Mullenax
As most people know, Christmas is only a week away. It's a time where peace,
joy, and love is promoted with holiday cheer. People eagerly decorate their
homes with images of Santa, Frosty, and of course the Nativity scene that
depicts the birth of Jesus Christ. They shop at their local Walmart's and
huge Malls where the hot chocolate and eggnog flow aplenty, but their
supplies for gifts are dangerously close to running out. You don't even have
to be a Christian to enjoy the holiday. Many recognize it as a National
Holiday and celebrate as such.
To prove my point, I worked last Saturday night near the Santa section of
the mall in Strongsville, Ohio. As I sat in my booth promoting a Club and
Restaurant, I saw a Muslim family taking their child to see Old St. Nick.
I was astonished. Since when did Muslims celebrate Christmas? Did they know
that Santa Clause was an actual Catholic Bishop from the 4th Century?
I also have two very good Wiccan friends that not only celebrate Christmas,
but their own religious holiday as well.
If that weren't enough, I even know an Agnostic that went shopping crazy to
shop for gifts for family and friends for this holiday and strictly just for
this holiday.
But what do these people have in common?
1. They are not Christian and 2. They recognize the federal holiday that is
called CHRISTMAS!
So what's the point you ask? The point is, there are Secularists trying to
censor Christmas. They hate everything that this country was founded on and
they are desperately trying to "progress" this country into a secular and
socialist society.
This would come to no surprise to people if they've been paying close
attention to the honest news sites or programs or papers. Bans are being set
up to censor Christmas decorations in public areas while other secular
groups are going to court to change the holiday from Christmas to Winter
National Holiday.
It appears that these clowns are forgetting something.
This country was based on Judaic-Christian principles.
Now you don't have to be Christian or Jewish to understand and respect that.
No one is asking them to be one of the two or else. It's a moral foundation
that has been set up because it is good when put into practice.
But this secular attack is a particular one, not a general one. It's not the
Jewish Holiday Hanukah or the Muslim Holiday Ramadan that is being attacked.
Their symbols are allowed freely to be displayed in the public and with
little to know arugment from Secularists. It's Christmas that they want done
away with and Why? Only God knows for sure. It just seems that the word
"Christ" scares people.
However, I see the double standards in Secular thinking.
Abortionists expect us to respect the abortion laws because it's legal
practice, but when President U.S. Grant signed Christmas into a National
Holiday in 1780, then it's all of a sudden not right and it needs to be
changed.
Maybe this isn't anything new, but it's been getting a lot of press and it
seems like Secularists are intensifying the attacks.
Nativity scenes have been displayed in the public for hundreds of years and
all of a sudden it's getting horribly offensive? Schools are no longer
allowed to call their breaks a Christmas Vacation in certain states ebcause
the ACLU will attack the little towns that can't afford to defend themselves
in court due to lack of funds. Christmas services can no longer be
publicized as well (So long for freedom of expression and religion).
Christmas carolers are now being considered as psycho terrorists in
Australia. Now c'mon...TERRORISM? People singing joyous songs of peace is
considered terrorism? This is sad and disgusting.
Now of course this extends way deeper than just Christmas. The current mad
French President is going on a secular spree claiming that "secularism must
be upheld!" while our country defends "Under God" in our pledge and while
people fight to put the Ten Commandments' believer Roy Moore back in power.
Yes, we are living in rough times. A war is brewing between spiritual
believers and secularists. So, be careful when you go into the public this
time a year. You certainly don't want to promote terror by saying "God Bless
you" to someone or heaven forbid if you say "Merry Christmas". If you do,
you just might be considered as evil as Osama Bin Laden or Saddam.
Who would have ever thought that Jesus Christ would be considered as any of
these evil men?

Atheism teaches that there is no God, hence no God-given rights. That
ideology coupled with a system that believed in the superiority of the state
at the expense of the individual was murderously synergistic. >> Stay informed about: Merry Christmas-Less And Have A Happy Godless Year |

These mid-winter celebrations and feasting, existed long before Christianity.
When Christianity arrived, they just changed the name of what was already there.
Christians do not have a monopoly on Christmas.

The only reason they celebrate it now is because they wanted in on the
solstice celebrations.

I don't think that's what they're saying, but that there are efforts to
suppress the true meaning of Christmas, which as Christ-mas is a
celebration, among other things, of the birth of Christ as God's supreme
gift to humanity. The spirit is of one of love, joy, and of the brotherhood
of humanity, and while these things are not the purview of Christians alone,
to attempt to remove Christ from Christmas is well, mean spirited, and even
a hard hearted attack on Christians and Christianity in general.
The outcropping of positive tolerance run riot is ultimately driven by a
will to destroy the common creeds and common values which operate as the
very glue which serves as the lies that bind us together in love, trust, and
mutual respect.
No man is an island, and Christ is really only OFFENSIVE in so far as the
love and mercy and forgiveness which he embodies, is a threat to our own
overblown ego driven sense of self esteem, which would promote the notion
that we are NOT in NEED of forgiveness because we are not sinful by nature.
Thus after Christ, the pagan celebrations of man as child of nature, were
replaced with mankind as child of God, through the reconciliation and
atonement of Jesus Christ.
You can no more remove Christ from Christmas than you can uproot the Cross
from Cavalry and say it never happened.
If that is offensive, then so be it, because it, like Christ, is born of
love, mercy, truth and justice for the individual, and individual freedom
and liberty - that is the very reason, many believe, that Christ was sent
into the world, and which He was ultimately sent to die for, to uphold as
the highest truth for the individual who is at some level a victim of
historical circumstance except through the circumstances of Christ as the
end of process of the eternal victimhood of sin, death and corruption.
Hatred and intolerance of Christ, when it comes right down to it, is to say
that I will do what *I* want, and go MY way, and I will not tolerate for a
minute the idea that my very nature and character is flawed.
Really, Christianity can be a hard thing to look at, and to touch into, and
be touched by, but it is really only hard to do to the extent that it
requires being able to receive a gift of unconditional love which is of
incalculable value, yet for which there is nothing, nothing at all, that one
can do to either earn or deserve it.
Bottom line, it's a Christmas present is what it is. The real trick is how
to open it, and effectively receive it, since there are nor can there be any
words which can adequately express one's gratitude for such a gift which is
freely given by none other than the architect and creator of the universe,
to you, an individual person.
The problem that secularists and non and un believers have with Christmas is
not intolerance for all beliefs, but the very meaning of it which beacons
each of us from within the very spirit of Christmas.
To remove Christ from Christmas is like trying to cleave the meaning from
the cross, or the body from the spirit.
What is maddening about Christianity is the apparent exclusivity of the
common creed, and what is even more infuriating, I suppose for some, is that
this exclusivity is ALL-INCLUSIVE. That at the very heart of it is a
universal principal of individual freedom from bondage. To be a Christian is
to be bound by the love of God as expressed through Christ, and this as
sinners, is such a hard thing to do, since it infuriates none other the
devil within, who is our prideful and selfish nature.
Anyone who expounds upon the true meaning of Christianity is going to be
persecuted, by the devil in our midst.
To the uninitiated, Christianity is really a very very frightening thing,
and the impulse is then to try to expunge any possible meaning which might
be attributed to it from conscious awareness, but here's this Christian
saying "this is what it really means, give it a try, it's good for you and
you'll like it if only you can be open minded to the possibilities inherent
within it. Open minded? Open minded? Arrgh! But that is true. How can one
approach any purported truth, and effectively investigate it, if they
approach it with contempt prior to investigation? You can't. And there's the
rub - Christianity's claim to monopoly on the highest possible truth for
humanity, and yet to look into it, deeply, is to come to the realisation
that it cannot be pulled apart or compartmentalized. You either must accept
it, or reject it, but once one touches into it, and get's touched by it,
there's really no turning back, because it's just too good to be true, and
yet it IS true. Can't not be. That's what atheist C.S. Lewis came to
realise. There's way too much non-human genious in it, to call it a man made
up mythology. It is the ulimate story and mythology actually played out. One
cannot remove the historical Jesus from the myth, not because of a lack of
emperical data, but because when all the data starts coming in, one comes to
the grand realisation that the myth and the man and the character and epic
at the very heart of the story are one and the same thing. To use a quantum
David Bohmianism, the story, and it's segements, miracles, parables, acts
and deed, are each in implicitely rendered image of a much much greater
explicate reality. The image is the medium is the message. To look deeply
into Christianity is the only place where a man can look into the abyss, and
have the abyss look back into him, and be filled with radiant light, and be
set upon a path of increasing mental and physical well being. It it's a
delusion or a "meme", then it wouldn't "work".
Mind you "Churchianity" has given Christianity a bad name, as there are few
among us who can introduce Christ to another without projecting in the
process an aspect of their own unresolved control drama.
If there is a place where the devil stands firmly on guard, it is in
permitting anyone to pass through the cross into freedom from the bondage of
sin.
Christianity, interpreted and understood really sparks the ire of our human
pride, and it IS in fact highly offensive to our own treasured sense of high
self esteem, and yet received as the gift that it is, the recipient will
positively glow with a newfound sense of self worth, which is assigned by
God to be of infinite measure and proportion.
Now what on earth is wrong with that? >> Stay informed about: Merry Christmas-Less And Have A Happy Godless Year |

Ahh but interpreated deeply, it is a new congruent allignment with the
central turning point of all the heavenly spheres and so it is only fitting
that it would fall on the ancient pagan celebration of winter solstace.
In somewhat the same way that's it's only fitting that Santa's mythical home
be situated at the north pole, which no nation can usurp.

Yeah. I think he and his dad deserve as much. It was quite the work. What
vision! They earned the right I think.
I am suprised that Einstein didn't see it and fully "grok" it's
significance. He was a Jew though, and they have these wierd blinders on
when it comes to Christ as the prophesied Messiah. Now THAT is perhaps as
big a mystery as an immaculate conception by the incorruptable divine sperm.
