Post subject: Ph.D. Admission Question
Archived from groups: soc>college>grad (more info?)

Hi,

I have a question and would like to get your perspective on this, and
thanks in advance.
I got my B.Sc. in electrical engineering from turkey from one of the
top 3 universities but my gpa is very low, (2.35/4.0). But with the
name of the school and my high gre scores I got a scholarship from a
2nd tier university in US and got my masters degree in CS. Now after 3
years I would like to apply to Ph.D. in a 1st tier school in the top 20
rank. I also have 2 publications, one in a good journal second in a so
so journal. What would be your advice? keep working in industry or
shall I try applying?

Thanks again.
