Going back to the sea neither reverses nor hinders the evolutionary
process.
Evolution has no direction, and thus it is meaningless to talk about
reversing it.
Dolphins returning to the sea filled a ecological niche that was
available. Dolphins continued to evolve thereafter. So did all other
forms of life. Thus it cannot be said to have "hindered" anything.

Huh? BTW, Gore never claimed he invented the Internet. You are not
responsible for making that up, but you are responsible for spreading
the lie. That is the same kind of political lie that got us into Iraq.

"Scientists believe" is not proof. It is a fairy tale that
they imagined up and sell as if it is proven.

Your ignorance does not make me a moron. The notion that all single
celled organisms are "amoeba" is biologically ignorant. As in the
notion that "a critter", rather than populations, evolve. As is the
notion that it all aimed at humans.

Progress is a subjective notion. Plus you snipped out (without
marking) the context. That cetaceans went back to the see is not
devolution or "hindered" progress. If you don't understand why I will
try to explain it to you.

Your understanding of evolution is flawed. Evolution is change, not
progress. The change is constrained by the environment. Species evolve to
survive in their environment. There is actually a case of human somatic
cells evolving into a single celled protist. Of course it is a rather
artificial case but the cell lines derived from the cancer cells of a
certain patient (Henrietta Lacks) who died in the 1950's are still
thriving. It hasn't been officially accepted but some regard these cells as
a new species "Helacyton gartleri".

Why would you think that. None of the cetacean's close terrestrial
relatives evolved in the direction of being able to invent technology.

Read and weep cretinist:

Cetaceans still have the HOX genes for producing limbs. They are normally
turned off. Occaisionally the regulation of the HOX genes go amiss and
limbs grow anyway. This is called an atavism. Same thing with humans
occaisionally being born with tails, which are surgically removed.

The cretinists are often stating that evolution says that amoeba evolved
into humans. This is a a false understanding as moderm amoeba are just as
evolved as any other modern species.

The buybull says "dirt to you". BTW note this picture of a spotted dolphin
embryo (even hind legs initially develop before the HOX genes get turned
off. You would be hard pressed to tell it from any other mammal embryo at
this stage:
