Post subject: Roommate needed
Archived from groups: soc>college>grad (more info?)

I'm a new graduate student of English at the UW who just moved to Seattle in
June. I secured a newly remodeled two bedroom apartment in the Roosevelt
area--it was too nice of a place and too good of a deal to pass up--and now
I'm seeking a mature, responsible, stable, tolerant, queer friendly, clean,
and relatively quiet roommate to move in with me on September 1.

900 square foot basement apartment (with large windows and window wells that
let in quite a bit of light), half-block from bus line and instant I-5
access (10 minutes to downtown, 5 minutes to UW), on-street parking,
peaceful and friendly neighborhood, huge kitchen, separate laundry room with
washer and dryer, new appliances, new carpet/flooring, recently painted and
wallpapered.

Rent would be $575 a month, which includes all utilities and DSL Internet.
There would be a security deposit of at least $575 required at the time a
sublet agreement is signed. One catch is presently I have almost no
furniture and few kitchen items: I'm hoping to find a roommate that already
has stuff to furnish the common areas of the apartment or who is willing to
share in the cost/task of furnishing the place bit by bit.

Please contact me if you're interested. Or, feel free to refer this ad to
friends of yours who may be looking for a place **on an individual
basis**--please DO NOT post it publically or forward it to other newsgroups
or email lists.

Thanks, Matthew.
