Post subject: Stafford loan eligibility for 2nd bachelor's degree
Archived from groups: soc>college>financial-aid (more info?)

Hi

I am a returning student for the Spring 2009 semester. I hold a
bachelor's degree in marketing and I am returning to complete a
bachelor's degree in finance. I exhausted my 12 semesters of aid
previously, and I am curious if I am eligible for additional Stafford
loans while working on my second bachelor's? I began work on this
degree while working on my Marketing degree, and I am not sure if that
impacts my eligibility or not. Any help is much-appreciated, thanks.

Steve

It is a great decision for you. But we all know how costly education is nowadays. In 2007, a Democrat-controlled Congress passed a bill lowering the interest of student loans by half. That legislation will expire in June if Congress does not act soon, effectively doubling the current rate. Tuesday, a crowd of university students delivered 130,000 letters to the Republican-controlled Congress, asking for the lower rate to be prolonged. Congressional Republicans say the reduced rate costs the nation too much. Democrats say it is an essential investment in the future. College students who need some help can get an https://personalmoneynetwork.com/installment-loans/ (installment loan).
