College Admissions Tutoring plus...

For information on home school tutoring visit the AV Tutoring web
site. Site has many local success stories and information about
tutoring in reading, phonics, spelling, math, grammar and also English
for ESL students. Tutoring is only delivered by the author of
Superphonics, veteran tutor of 30 years and is much pricier than other
advertised tutoring programs, running from 7K to 10K for a full
guaranteed program. There are family discounts. Sherwood's son also
tutors for $40 per hour. He was homeschooled by Sherwood and passed
the high school proficiency test at age 13. He is now 19 and writing
his second book.

References are consistently stellar. (I do administrative work for
Tracy Sherwood, such as this posting, and type the success stories).

Sherwood's programs are specifically for parents who want to be
personally involved in their child's learning process. It is not a
'drop them off' and go shopping activity. The parent is right there in
it all.

Also now forming an Antelope Valley homeschool group for Palmdale and
Lancaster CA to be run by Tracy Sherwood. The program offers parental
training and participation as well as individual or group tutoring.
The purpose of the group tutoring is not to get the homeschool
assignments done, but rather to train students on specific exercises
that increase general learning aptitude, tap into intelligence and
increase confidence in learning. It also targets mastery of
comprehension. Part of Sherwood's past success is to instroduce the
student to tutoring others to increase certainty of knowledge and
raise morale regarding education.

The program is also offered to college students, GATE and Gifted
children as a separate program with similar but goals of much higher
standards. Sherwood prefers readers to visit the web site for general
information on tutoring before calling or emailing. Web and
email addresses are below.
