You make it sound like a BAD thing. I for one think it's a great idea.
There's no greater honor than to Serve YOUR COUNTRY in time of need. No
matter WHO is in the "Big House".

Like the fact that this legislation has been "pending" since 2003 with
no co-sponsors in the Senate and only 13 (out of 435) in the House?
Or the fact that the last time anything happened with these bills was
when the House version was referred to the Subcommittee on Total Force
on 2/3/2003 (the Senate bill having been read twice on 1/7/2003 and
referred to the Committee on Armed Services?)

Can you say "died in committee?"

Research *first*, *then* post, lying tommie...

The draft sooner or later always encourages rich politicians to
take us to war to feed their greed. Like VIetnam. A volunteer
service won't do that. The freedom to fight for what you believe
in is the most precious right we need to defend! Also, a conscript
army is cannon-fodder, and won't win. Every draft in world history
has finally torn its nation or empire to pieces. This country almost
went to pieces in the 60's, all over the draft.

Sure, but the draft will destroy freedom just as soon as banning
free speech "for the war effort".

Free speech has not been banned and will not.
