Local money is usually small amounts that might pay for one semesters worth
of books.
You need to look beyond yourself.. look at your families affiliations if any
to volunteer, military service, or employer.
Samsung offers money to family members of Korean War Veterans.
IBM has the Watson Scholarship.
The ARRL has one for ham radio.
Local hospitals, Teachers Associations, PTA's, Lions Club, VFW, Volunteer
Fire Department.
Start with the High School Guidance Dept.
